   My Encounter with the "Show Queen"
   
   Stately she stood at the pier, Beckoning for me to come,
   Allowing me to venture near, With much aplomb.
   The gangplank looked so steep, Could I get up there at all?
   Yes. Strong and willing hands wouldn't let me fall.
   How surprised I was at the spacious room,
   With music piped in to chase the gloom.
   Such comfort put me at ease,
   As I was served a tasty meal, Made to please.
   The roar of the engines signaled to me, That we were on our way,
   Somehow I expected a very relaxing day,
   The deck outside made me feel safe, As I sat in my faithful wheelchair,
   Lifting my head to the warming sun, Breathing refreshing air
   Clouds above nodded to me, Pierced by avian cries
   As pelicans and herons, Appeared before my eyes.
   The breeze caressed my face and hair,
   While gentle rocking soothed my cares.
   I sat transformed, time stood still, I forgot my dreary life,
   I wanted to store these moments up, To use in times of strife.
   Thank you crew for your gift to me, A respite from my dull routine,
